I think this is a bad take. At least one person was made to feel like an outsider and it wore them down so much they quit. That’s a problem. Rafiq’s feelings don’t need to be signed off by other people to check if they’re valid.
Well did they have the same sort of treatment but it didn't wear them down as much? Surely it will have been spoken about among them.

I don't know about removing Lehmann based on what happened in '03. People change.

Gale in 2015 though..

Whatever it takes!!!
I dont think there is anything there to accuse Lehmann or even this Gale of any improper conduct yet but it seems like they are just doing it for the optics.

And of course, if this is just them setting the stage for more meaningless steps that actually do not try to address anything structural, then ECB should be pretty pissed.

i am equally skeptical, especially on the lehmann review. its very easy to remove a bloke from a role he hasn't even begun and provides a nice shot in the arm on a PR front.

doesn't really do anything to fix what appears to be a poisonous culture around the club though which is what really needs fixing.

Did Rashid and gale have a big falling out around the time he didn't play against Middlesex in the decider? Maybe rash didn't want to play for him

The issue with lehmann is that his actions should have been a major barrier to his career in coaching in the first place, which he started almost immediately after retirement, but obviously it had no impediment whatsoever (In Australia, India and more recently in England). The idea of it now being a problem is absurd.......but secretly, it's slightly delightful to hear.

Looks like after winning it in 2018 and Runners up last year. Worcester are having a poor year in the T20
Just haven't been able to put a bowling performance and a batting performance together at the same time.

We had a good couple of years in white ball cricket more generally, you've got to remember that it's against the laws of the universe for Worcestershire to be consistently good

It was not his fault that the selectors seemed to over rate him but a very very good test cricketer and batsman and those are always hard to find. Played his part in getting his side to be the best in the world too. Wish him the best in his future efforts.

Solid batsman, good to watch as well. Was excellent for long patches. 20+ Test centuries (even with England's Test spam) is no joke.

Oh FFS the Sky's comms masturbating about Rashid continues in matches he's not playing. He's apparently the best red ball bowler in the country, they are admitting he doesn't play it, not one mention of Jack Leach yet natch.

Look, he's an outstanding white ball cricketer, and the thing is he's got better since he stopped playing red ball, you'd think they might see the correlation rather than wish for him to go back to the way he was, with a dodgy shoulder. Warne has put an hex on us, an obsession with leg-spin, all at a time when finger spinners are becoming more a thing in first class, mainly due to DRS IMHO.

I could point out the boring difference in stats between 3 years youngerLeach and rashid, almost ten better in first-class and Tests, but I know it won't matter because, "ahh the wicket-taking abilities of the leg-spinner trumps all stats and reason".

Oddly enough checking their stats, Leach has a better List A record, but not really relevant on a small sample size, and I wouldn't advocate Leach to play white ball, because in general HE DOESN'T ****ING PLAY IT!!!!
