*Official* CPL 2020

Also, what's the go with the spin-friendly wickets this CPL?
They're playing in Trinidad alone. Two grounds. Earlier games were played at the Brian Lara academy...and the matches now are being played at the Queen's Park Oval; a venue notorious for its slow nature...today's games were played on the same wicket...so low scores are expected. That's why teams pack their side with spinners.

Tridents approached that chase badly. They should have been looking to get the bulk from the first ten overs. To lose like that isn’t very clever.

Can't believe Barbados didn't chase that, saw the score with even 5 overs left and thought Barbados making a hash of it but they'll limp home tamely in the penultimate over. Johnson Charles with 39 off 42 - almost looks like a blockbuster innings in the context of the match - 46 off 78 from the rest of the Barbados batsman - quite literally a test-match tempo!

That hundred from Pooran was insane considering how tricky the wicket was. What a talent.

I wouldn't go judging too much from what happens in WI domestic cricket these days.

Funnily enough while the pitches were distinctly better in the FC competition this year that doesn't seem to be holding true for the CPL.

playing on the same wicket day after day with no breaks will do that, yes.

Also I would argue this is more of an IPL-run competition than a purely local arrangement.

Sinclair has a really impressive action for someone who has in all formats basically been selected as a top-3 bat.

Batted at 3 once, opened once but batted down the order in his other 10 FC innings, looks like he played lower middle order in List A cricket too but he's still young hopefully he can develop nicely and who knows be a solid number 8 who can bowl spin on International stage.

On this current match - always thought Rovman Powell was criminally underbowled but seems like he's trying to disprove me today! But nonetheless happy to see him bowling more although think it should be as a 6th bowler rather then a 5th one - think the balance of this side is okay once Russell is near fully fit though.

Russell came out way too late, good to see he still has those power-hitting innings in him though.
