It's just a weird quirk that the way to get wickets in subcontinental-type pitches -- bowl fast, into the pitch and at the stumps off a good length and rely on natural variation to do a lot of your work -- is exactly how you get absolutely destroyed in places like Australia. I feel it's not entirely fair to call spinners "bad" just because they have trouble adjusting one way or the other, almost every spinner does.

Yeah but if you bowl poorly, you bowl poorly. England played him worse than they should have, which is my point. Its not like he did not bowl well at all but surely he will bowl better even in England, and pick up lesser hauls.

So apparently the reverse sweep is now Jimmy's default shot. I can't say I'm hugely in favour.

107 run deficit isn't as bad as it looked it would be at one point, but we're still deep in the mire.

Has always been absolutely vicious against any sort of width when not outright scared of the ball tbf. But he's now standing so legside that pretty much any normal delivery has width now.

Dobell was saying something similar, the people saying the missed stumping was near to impossible, are saying it because Jos' body/feet doesn't move with the ball.

Well that's that, wonder how many Broad and Anderson have scored together, must be in the 100os now.
