I think, in English conditions, Woakes is still a better bowler on the head-to-head, but Curran offers the variety of being a leftie & still (I think) has a 100% home test win record. If Stokes could not bowl, won't Curran have been a better choice over Woakes?
I would rather him being excluded from the team after this.Someone throw the ball at his head so we can get a concussion substitute?!!
Ridiculous team strategy of asking the bowlers if they're ok to play. Like Gabriel would want to give Chemar Holder a chance to get a foothold?Seems naive playing him 3 matches in a row after so long off and only just coming back from injury.
Hopefully, like me, he was joking!Uh, I like Michael Holding but this talk of wishing Gabriel to have a concussion is very very poor!
Someone throw the ball at his head so we can get a concussion substitute?!!
Seems more than one person is thinking along such lines. Holding suggested a short leg, though.Holding trying to think of a way to exploit the concussion rules to cover Gabriel's injury
Was always a risk given his track record, cracking bowler but so fragile. And his nuts and bolts are falling apart.
Called this ****
Yes I agree, I think the only reason for Curran?s inclusion is that he offers a different angle of attack and will probably help bring Bess in a bit more as the game wears on. Woakes still the better bowler for me in these conditions and I?d certainly back him as a number seven bat over Curran.I think, in English conditions, Woakes is still a better bowler on the head-to-head, but Curran offers the variety of being a leftie & still (I think) has a 100% home test win record.
This sounds bad for Shannon...
