According to unibet, WI are marginally favourites anyway.
Marginally? OK, I wasn't 100% serious about the innings victory, but the state of England' s batting make it hard to see WI having to chase more than 100.

Gabriel was all over Burns like a dose of scabies in his first over, let's see how Sibley gets on.

Think he'd get my vote for the scariest looking quick currently. Utterly hench and has that look that suggests he doesn't suffer fools too.

Sibley looks rough as, but think he's got the temperament for an opener. Doesn't seem to let the false shots and the plays and misses bother him.

Oh, shot from Roarers there. First genuine scoring stroke of the innings.

Sets up a very intriguing third day, pleased we got through with no damage to the wicket column, hopefully another clear sunny day tomorrow.

Fourth day :)

Think the third day was pretty even, but yesterday killed us, not without a chance, but can't be confident with our batting line-up. Should be really sunny, who knows maybe picking a spinner will be our trump card, but long way to get to a point that that matters.

Apologies! Losing track of everything these days!

I live in hope with our batting that one day it all just fires, but realistically we’re a long way behind in this Test especially the way Windies bowled in the first innings. Hopefully conditions will settle down tomorrow and we can get through the first hour unscathed.

I'm pretty convinced the sweep going out of fashion in the current generation of batsmen is atleast partly responsible for the decline in general quality of batting against spin we've seen in recent years. They need to watch some younis khan innings on youtube.
the sweep still exists. sorry to migara but latham, ross and nicholls love a sweep (sometimes to their detriment - they get obsessed).
He's a cricket unicorn. A truly genuine all rounder who can win matches with either bat and ball. Contributes when his team needs him. But hey 50 years from now people will say he wasn't good enough in either discipline.
with bat definitely, his bowling is still too raw to be more than a mixture of golden arm and inspire the troops spell. he's the last guy in the side to drop his head, so while his bowling can be a bit wild you turn to him when the frontliners have sooked off to remind the team why they're there.
Windies attack just looks more skilful, which really rubs in the Broad non-selection.
yea and it includes gabriel too, who is known for his meltdowns.

roach is so impressive. so many west indians in the last 20 years have burst onto the scene with pace and swing but never really improved and when they get injured, returned as pretty useless or faded away. roach is short and slow now but he keeps getting better and better. wag he is.
