ODI Debut Chronology draft

Flintoff and Imran are worth their weight in gold when it comes to balancing an ODI side. Legit gun frontline bowlers and middle order batsmen.
Ankitj and I basically have the same side right now. His all rounders bat better than mine but I've got the better spinner. Other than that they're virtually identical sides.

Pollock and Kapil fit into that category as well. They're easily good enough to bat 7 and were pretty decent bowlers as well.

I can't believe we let Roger Twose slide.

was so close to picking him haha. already have Fairbrother though(and S Waugh too I guess) and couldn't afford another ATVG. Need ATGs only for the rest of my top 6

Haha I was actually joking. I should have made the joke about Mohammed Rafique instead.

oh okay **** ha. I legit felt Twose would have been a decent pick. Certainly a solid record for the era he played in

Man my Chanderpaul pick was perfect. Added only 1 year, can fit into literally want spot in my batting lineup and gave me Flintoff before all the 96 debutant pickers got a go.

Now watch literally every good player from the 00s go before my next pick

Yes, completely agree. I think no one other than these 2 deserves to play as all-rounder in an ATG XI.

While there are many great ODI batsmen to play at 3-5, Kapil's batting is tailor-made for number 7. Kapil's ODI bowling was slightly better than Imran's too (Imran's ODI bowling took backseat once Wasim and Waqar came). While I think Imran is a great pick in a draft, I don't think he can be too serious a consideration in ATG XI, unlike in tests.

Kapil was very hit and miss with the bat. I don't rate him as highly as ODI all rounder as most of this forum.

Imran has a better average than guys like Border and Waugh. His strike rate is very very good considering when he played too. He's the perfect ODI all rounder.
