Not the greatest side I have ever drafted but its pretty well rounded and what the bowling attack lacks in ATG quality can be made up for by sheer relentness quantity of the amount of good to great bowlers you will have to keep facing. We have guys who can do well in the SC, guys who can do well in SENA and guys who can do well in the Windies. And the batting line up with 4 bona fide ATGs in the top 7 will ensure they have a good enough score to bowl at every time and then there is the fun of having Vaas and Ashwin and even Rabada who can bat after them.

Right so I may as well say I have 2 ways I can go about this now. Pick a relative passenger and get to Amby or get 2 ATG lites.
I don't think you can, unless there's a bowler with a name alphabetically after Bradman but still in the Bs.

Ricky Ponting
Sachin Tendulkar
Dudley Nourse
Ian Botham 3
Adam Gilchrist+
Kapil Dev 4
Alan Davidson 1
Shoaib Akhtar 2
Jim Laker 5

Overall I'm quite happy with my team.

Two excellent openers.
A middle order to die for. Ponting followed up by Tendulkar is the dream of anyone who has watched cricket since 2000. Nourse coming in at 5 gives an absolutely immense group of batsmen.
A bowling attack with the greatest off spinner of all time and a fast bowling attack that is greater than the sum of its parts. Pairing Ahktar with Davidson offers two incredibly different challenges and backing them up you have two completely different bowlers again in Botham and Kapil.

I didn't get Sobers, Hadlee, Ambrose, Steyn, Warne, McGrath or Murali, but I personally believe that this team is greater than the sum of its parts and would compete everywhere against everyone.

International Coach
I'll have Warwick Armstrong, who had the best batting stats in FC for an Australian of his era -- better than Trumper's and Hill's (Armstrong's test stats are exceedingly close to their's as well). He also averaged under 20 with the ball in the FC arena, picking up an enormous 832 wickets -- madly good in Australia where less FC matches are played.

In fact, in both disciplines Armstrong's stats are undeniably better than the great Monty Noble's. Noble played in slightly harder conditions to bat, but the difference between Armstrong and Noble's batting averages in both arenas are enough to justify Armstrong's statistical advantage. This also makes Armstrong's FC bowling record as compared to Noble's even greater.

Armstrong was a true hidden gem of Australian cricket.

I'm aboard the Armstrong love train but I'd be mildly miffed if his popularity increases now all of a sudden.

He was a very interesting character as well Armstrong. One of the true greats of the game.
