i saw burgey recently in another thread mention pontings innings at old trafford in 2005 and mention how hostile the crowd was. i was there that day, the only day of that ashes i went to and it was electric and brutal. the explosion of clarke leaving to jones and gillespie padding up to hoggard were as good as anything i've experienced in any arena live.
got me thinking, what other great cricketing days are there in history where the noise and hostility of the crowd is as memorable as the action itself?
the western terrace 2019 during stokes slogathon a great recent example.
