Woodster
International Captain
I have come across him only in terms of doing my research, but I think I’m right in saying he’s played representative cricket with WP at under-17 level and above hasn’t he ? That being the case, he would be considered a ‘pro’ over here in the UK and in order to qualify for a pro’s visa he’d need to have played five first-class matches (or 5 under-19 World Cup matches for SA) in the last two years. If he gets into the WP side and gets a run then he will hopefully be eligible. This is all providing he doesn’t already have a UK/EU passport.Have you come across Lehan Botha ? Very good young batsman. Think he may get a Western Province contract. He was player of the recently concluded Francise Academy Week. Should have been in the SA u19 squad I feel.
I’m sure I saw that he registered with a website called Cricketer Exchange, a website that essentially just puts you in touch with clubs in the UK, but doesn’t do any of the research into the club and player as a genuine match to ensure both parties get what they’re after and the player is playing at a level they require.
Understand he’s a very highly rated young batsman isn’t he ?
