Unlucky that was given out on ground, wouldn’t have been overturned to be given out I don’t think. But on the other hand he looked perfectly happy to walk off until Kohli told him to review.

Should have been overturned TBH. The spike came after the ball had passed the bat.

I guess that kind of cancels out the Pujara one. Hot spot being vulnerable to false negatives sucks for those sort of ones.

Ok couldn't that snicko be off the bat grazing against the ground? Not conclusive at all.
Also, why prefer the aural clue (snicko) over the visual? Is that solely because it was umpire's call on the field? And on a related note, how long does the hotspot smudge remain on the bat after impact?

Well the commentators seem to think there was a small deviation in the ball's trajectory and there was a gap between the bat and the ground so maybe I'm going blind.

Rahane would be so much better if he just never played that crappy back foot poke to point... never gets him runs but regularly gets him out. It's like he's looked at Gautam Gambhir's batting and chosen worst possible shot to imitate. He used to just throw his hands at those which is massively preferable.
