That’d probably be illegal in NZ because of our laws against zero hour contracts. In any case, the rain is coming back, sfa chance of any more play today

Shaw's dismissal was a loose shot. An opener against a swinging new ball shouldn't be working a straight ball into the legside to begin with. Textbook stuff.

Agarwal and Kohli played terrible shots too.

Obviously pumped up by all that aggression coursing through his veins.

Whatever it takes!!!
TBF,, Shaw could have played that ball from Southee completely correctly and still have gotten out, LBW or bowled or caught behind by the keeper or slips. The only thing you can say is Southee's pace allows you a fraction of a second more to adjust but really it was a terrific ball. Same with Jamieson to Pujara I think and even Vihari. Agree Kohli and Mayank were soft dismissals.

Styris made an interesting comment in the Star telecast about how they are keeping Kohli very very happy n being all sweet and nice to him. He feels that is the reason he is not clicking, coz he is in such a happy and nice state of mind. I remember Ponting saying something similar about how they wanted to approach Lara when he was still playing.

Wouldn't put it past Virat to go big every time from now for the rest of this series though.

Hence I asked if you can do temporary arrangements locally for particular tests based on the weather forecasts.
this is a cricket board that can't afford to host more than 4 tests a year mate

should just go full club cricket now and get players, coaches and spectators to assist with putting the covers on IMO

Caught some of the extended highlights and not suprised at all that Rahane is the one batsman to do ok. In these conditions, I don't have much faith in the rest of the lineup. Atleast Pujara has the dignity to get out to good bowling unlike kohli and especially agarwal, who unless he develops a back foot game is going to suffer immensely. He's seriously lucky Wagner Jr happened or it'd have been embarrassing viewing.

Also does anyone else loathe how aesthetically terrible India's lineup has become now. Apart from Rahane and kohli, the rest are horrific to watch. I miss Rohit.

Vihari has some aesthetic moments. Straight drive today was gorgeous. And Ashwin's part of this lineup too. Hope he does a Harbhajan this series, seems like we'll need it.
