West Indies Championship 4-Day Tournament (2020)

Trinis are going strong in Dominica. I don't know if this match started yesterday or today.

The Trinis are batting first, and already 166/2 in the 45th over.

No, they just moved it by one day because of the incident yesterday. It's still 4 days. I haven't heard if they have reduced the number of days. But what I have heard from Windies cricket is that it was postponed, and scheduled to start today...which is currently underway.
Good stuff. Hope there wasn't too much valuable stuff stolen.

Jamaica have struck. Jamie Merchant, the off spinner picks up his first wicket. Barnwell, the man gone clean bowled for 33.

115 for 4.

The spinners are strangling the batsmen. Typical Providence wicket.

307/4 now, just resumed after lunch on day 2.

Ottley made 116 but just chopped a fairly wide ball by Shermon Lewis onto his stumps

I don't think that it was an anomaly that TT struggled against us. Our bowling was that good.

Now the Trinis are back to their merry ways of amassing huge scores.

Reifer and Permaul are resisting the Jamaican bowlers. Closer inching to that Jam score of 187.

161/7.

The sun baking the wicket on a day 2 afternoon session..best time for batting.

Jamaica going at more than 4 an over.
John Campbell went for a run a ball 31 before Sinclair trapped him LBW.

Permaul just got the nightwatchman Nicholson Gordon for 1

50/2 with a lead of 47.

Blackwood really threw his wicket away. Last over of the day against Permaul...first ball of the over he attempted a heave over long on/cow-corner and got beaten...he adjusted and played the next four balls with respect ...and last freaking ball of the day he attempted the same shot from the first ball of the over and somehow got it to sky to cover.

Just idiotic batting. Reminiscent of Shannon Gabriel against Yasir Shah at Kensington Oval.

Over in Dominica, Trinidad are chipping away at the Windwards.
After declaring on 365/9, they have the Windwards on 71/2. Devon Smith putting up some sort of resistance (35 off 93), along with him is Andre Fletcher (2 off 11).

And in St. Kitts, Barbados are going great guns. Having dismissed the Leewards for 181, they are comfortably placed on 235/2. Shamarh Brookes in the 90s. Shane Dowrich in the 70s. Rahkeem Cornwall has accounted for both wickets to have fallen. Barbados will be looking bat only once....unless something miraculous happens.

The partnership for the 9th wicket is now 35*.
This pair of Bonner and Merchant taking the game away from Guyana. Batting last on this pitch is gonna be a challenge. But if there is any inspiration to be have, just watch how these guys are batting at the moment. The pitch baked nice for the batsmen lol
