southee getting pummeled is to be expected and playing him here teaches us nothing we don't already know unless we're athlai, but how bad were the rest?

the boss is such a monster in odis. in tests he's very good and t20 okay but odis he just cruises along. great to see my boi nicholls prove the h8terz wrong yet again.

Bennett was loose early on and in the middle overs but recovered well at the death. CdG and Santner did pretty well, more or less as you'd expect from them in ODIs. Neesham was par, lots of wides as usual. Sodhi bowled extremely well early on including that Kohli wicket but then got taken for two sixes and wasn't seen after that surprisingly.

Shami never been that good at controlling flow of runs. Bhuvi is much better at that. And the guy in dressing room -- Saini.

Reckon the pitch is a near perfect ODI wicket with good balance between bat and ball. The ball has consistently moved both in the air and with plenty of spin.

It is a true wicket though with good reliable bounce. Definitely something in it for the bowlers though.

Fun match.
