Jayzus, there must've been a pretty serious warp in the spacetime continuum for there to be an all-run 4 at Seddon Park.

All this talk about wides had me wondering. These days they usually the paint the wide guidelines in a different colour. Wonder why NZ is still using white.

Is it maybe time for Jacob Duffy to get a crack in ODI cricket? Only just noticed that his list A record is pretty excellent. Went alright in the recent India A v NZA series too.
Was rated very highly I think after 2012 U19 world cup, grabbed an Otago contract right after and struggled for few years. Lost his pace, line and length so much so that they had to sit him out. For the last couple of years he's been coming all right.

Blundell would probably be a more sound pick for no.3 than Chapman, though their List A records are miles apart.
Still reckon they've should've gone for Will Young. Yeah he's been out with injury for a while, but he's hit 50's in his first two innings back. And he's a number 3 bat. Whose taken Mitch Starc and Pat Cummins apart. Just pick him already.

Blundell kind of under rated due to his funky stance and shot execution maybe but he's scored hundred each in the warm ups vs Australia and was it India or England in the world cup? Can't remember. Just want to see how he goes. He's a pretty chilled out individual. Only got the nod for firebirds fairly late because Joe Austin Smille had enough of cricket and migrated to Aussie for few years. Blundell took the gloves in local club cricket only because there was none to keep probably when he was 18 or 19.

This gentleman Shardul Thakur averages 47 at ER of 6.7 in ODIs. Why does he keep getting games when we have so many good fast bowling prospects? Bring Umesh and Ishant I'd say.

The warm up century was against Windies, was a very good innings though they did feed his favourite pull shot, think he did have a good knock for NZA in Australia just before that.

Ishant is injured. Umesh has not done much to get called up. Saini is perfectly alright but of course the thinktank feels Thakur's 15 (10) type of knocks make up for the pies he serves up.
