Pretty amazing that Federer has managed to get wins this year over both Nadal and Djokovic at nearly 38. Still don't see him winning this title, but it would be remarkable if he managed it.

If only he'd won that last point at Wimbledon..

I quite liked the new Davis Cup tournament. The season long slog of five set matches had become tough on the players to compete within the tournament schedule. But this format at the end of the season could be popular.

Gauff pretty dominant on the first day in Auckland. Now we've got Serena and Wozniacki playing doubles together - something a bit different.

Seems he pulled off the great escape once again. He'll get brutally crushed by Novak in the next match.

Federer has got to be very close to retirement now, though. It's by sheer luck that he's survived so far in this easy draw, and there's going to be a lot of first week exits for him in the near future. Can't see him enjoying that at 38.

He should just go ahead and announce that 2020 is going to be his last year on tour. He'll get an incredible reception at every tournament he plays.

That way, he also gets to take the attention off Nadal equaling or breaking his record.

First GS semifinal. Certainly took his own sweet time. Anyway, let's see how he goes against Nadal, needs to at least put up a fight if he wants to be seen as a legitimate multi-Slam contender for the future.

Been hyped up for 4 years

Not saying he should have won Majors already but you'd expect more than one Slam semifinal in that timeframe.
