Big score and we have lost and will lose more time in game. Saffers have to be aggressive which could be dangerous.

I reckon they'd take parity or at least within 50 at the end of Day 3 and hope we collapse 2nd time around.

Faf really lost the plot there. Bowl straight with a normal field, don't put everyone on the fence and get them bowling slower balls ffs.

'kin hell Root. I'll defend Curran's place in the team till I'm blue in the face, but opening the bowling ahead of Wood and Woakes?

EDIT
Didn't Wood clean up Elgar with the new ball at the start of their innings less than a week ago? The batsman certainly won't have forgotten.

No point in Curran if he doesn't take and swing the new nut to be honest.

I know that's the theory, and tbf he's bowling OK, but I think I know who these guys would rather be facing. And it's not unheard of for Curran to bowl well with an older ball.

Think Wood is used to being first change so I quite like Broad/Curran at top. Wood can come on quickly if things going south as well.

Fair enough. Sometimes our quickest bowlers do better when the ball isn't completely new. Archer springs to mind.
