It gets annoying when the conversation descends to the same heated arguments amongst the same set of posters that has already taken place elsewhere, which is where this was heading. Not good for forum atmosphere. Asking posters to stick strictly to the OP in this case is just a workaround of sorts to avoid the same.

Yeah the discussion has been extremely tame here and I dont see why 3 folks should get so annoyed by thread titles etc. No current player v player will ever really be only about format now matter what you put in the title, which is why I think we never had such titles for the most oft- repeated comparison threads like Sachin Vs Lara or Warne Vs Murali.
