Every team should appeal every red card after the precedent that was set when Son's red card against Everton was rescinded.

He's always been a bit clanger prone tbh, he's not just become awful overnight.

Edit: re: De Gea

something has gone wrong with him. It may be a bad spell or more terminal, time will tell but its going to be interesting to watch.

looking at the premier league sides who are gunning for Europe, Spurs is the only side you'd guarantee him getting a starting spot. City, Liverpool, Leicester, Wolves, Chelsea nope,,,,,,

Does he get in the Arsenal side right now?

He’s still miles better than Kepa. Letting in 2 soft goals is twice as bad as one absolute howler.

Turns out Spurs read my posts on here.

I would increase the ban due to the obviously frivolous nature of the appeal, but the FA have set a precedent that stonewall red cards get rescinded if the player has a wee cry in the dressing room afterwards so it should be successful.

I believe he actually got off on the ‘it’s not actually dangerous to blindside slide tackle someone 10 yards from the ball and break their ankle’ defence.

In future he’ll know that kicking someone is only ok if you gain an advantage from it.

Plenty of good quotes from Ornstein and The Athletic today:

"Raul Sanllehi hasn't really liked the public acclaim he has generated after the transfer window where he was nicknamed 'Don Raul' and people were bombarding him with praise. It really did not sit well with him."

During the training session on Sunday when the players were doing the rondos - quite a few of the Arsenal players were flicking it with a trick to elude the defender and Arteta stopped each time and said "You don't do this during the match, so why are you doing it now?"

Some of the senior players were skeptical and underwhelmed about Arteta's appointment, due to his lack of experience. That could explain Arteta's aggressive stance in his presser which is my way or the highway. However, players were positive after Sunday and Monday.

Mikel Arteta wants a backroom staff of 6:

-Freddie Ljungberg confirmed.
-Steve Round confirmed.
-Contact with Brentford GK coach Inaka Cana
-One dutch coach in the mix
-Aaron Briggs - Man City performance analyst considered

Although happy with their attacking options, Arsenal are looking to strengthen in both defense and midfield in the January transfer window.

Next month will be the first transfer window in which technical director Edu will play a full part. The Brazilian has kept a low profile since arriving in London but has been revamping Arsenal’s recruitment department behind the scenes.

For some weeks now, Arsenal have deemed central midfield to be an area in need of urgent attention, and Arteta is expected to concur with that assessment. While hopes remain high for Guendouzi and Willock, there are doubts over the future of the other three CM's.

Arsenal are believed to be one of several English clubs monitoring the progress of 21-year-old Lille centre-back Gabriel Magalhaes.

I wouldn't be surprised if Aubameyang and Özil were playing elsewhere in February.
The guy who broke the news of our interest in Pepe says we want to bring in Moussa Dembele in January. Makes me think one of Auba or Laca could be out the door.

Nobody is taking on Mesut's albatross of a contract though. I think he'll sit on his ass and run it down. Much love to you Ivan.

Just on the nice side of AFTV for a moment, they did this nice video about a soup kitchen in Brixton and donated a thousand pounds to them. Good work.
