Australia with a huge advantage here but you would have to think either team will have to bat really really bad against attacks that are both a key seamer down for a result to be forced.
But maybe scoreboard pressure will do it for Aus, you never know.

There's still 3 days left and only 25 wickets to take. I'd be surprised if we don't see a result. With Labuschagne in the side Australia have enough overs available between him and Lyon to properly rest Starc and Cummins. New Zealand have plenty of bowling options to rest Wagner and Southee (who bowled as well as I've seen him bowl over here).
Even though the game is two bowlers down I think we'll get a result, particularly if NZ can't bat until dinner or Australia lose their top order tonight.

I don't quite know how a test keeper could manage to mess up that badly.

I don't even think it was that bad. One bounce, not a half volley, actually went right in the gloves (still don't know how he dropped it) and he was only about a foot away from the stumps. It obviously wasn't perfect or what they'd practice internationally (it was "bad" by good standards) but if a keeper got that throw in grade cricket he'd be happy with it and run the bloke out 99 times out of 100.

Oh well, fastest test double century from CdG would be prescient. All we have to do is weather the early overs and then the lack of a proper bowl will tire the Aussies and we should cash in before night fall. Follow on is obviously the first target right now. Second will be parity and the third Ross going 10 better than 2015 and getting that triple. Southee maiden hundred, easy going!
