Hutt Hawks match reports did mention Raval was making some strides in adding a string to his bow. And no, he didn't really score runs there either. Devan Vishvaka did, but NZC will never let you enjoy the fruits of that one.

Today already hasn't gone as well as I was hoping, but fingers crossed for a flurry of wickets now.

Raval playing the Santner role here as containing spinner. Interesting to say the least.

Dear Whoever's in charge,

Do not let this series become an anti-climactic blowout

Good grind here. If these two last til tea they’ll probably have a slap around for an hour or so after the second break then have a dip with the ball under lights. Be happy with anything over 400 tbh. Batting wasn’t that easy yesterday.

Whatever it takes!!!
Isn't tea the first break here? Or they are doing it like the India pink ball match with lunch as the first break at 3 or something?

Strange period of play - NZ's two mean seamers are understandably gassed and it's down to part time spin, but Australia on the go-slow, presumably content to bat time so they get the new ball in the evening.

No, we're on the go-slow because these two simply aren't capable of scoring faster.
