Na had to play Henry to make sure we knew for absolutely certain that he averaged 45+ in Testsif only we had been 1-0 up at home two weeks ago

Eh, Steyn, Anderson, Bumrah, Philander haven't exactly been under-appreciated in the last decadeAustralia is a weird place to tour for visiting pacers. It's actually really hard to succeed but, if you do, you don't get the kind of recognition that succeeding in Asia does.
not even i want thisReturn of the Dougeh.
Ishant got picked for like five years based on tour in which he averaged 70.Eh, Steyn, Anderson, Bumrah, Philander haven't exactly been under-appreciated in the last decade
Haha indeed. Feel like Kemar Roach really bought himself a few years of freedom from actual scrutiny based on an aesthetically good tour as well.Ishant got picked for like five years based on tour in which he averaged 70.
Realistically whoever it was wouldn't play. Boult will be back for Melbourne and Henry will be ahead of whoever came over if there was another injury on top of it.not even i want this
if jamieson wasn't southee pace i'd pick him. tickner i reckon. doesn't threaten the stumps much but he's awkward af to face and could make a nuisance of himself if required with the other 2 quicks and cdg asked to take the wickets.
Come to think of it this does mirror Bennett's debut in India 9 years ago (don't think he played a test after that).S. O. S. Bennett
He’s come good now though tbfIshant got picked for like five years based on tour in which he averaged 70.
It's because India haven't exactly produced a lot of quality pace bowlers until recently, and has so obviously anti-pace conditions. People still talk about the 'quick bouncy pitches' here even though they haven't been quick for years and are only bouncy relative to everywhere with recently really slow pitches (looking at you England).Australia is a weird place to tour for visiting pacers. It's actually really hard to succeed but, if you do, you don't get the kind of recognition that succeeding in Asia does.
Roach was one of my early bowling inspirations, had such great energy. Took me years to realise he wasn't that good. Now he's lost a lot of his pace he's become a much cannier bower though.Haha indeed.
