Hesson said that Santa was a very very smart bloke. And then Bumble laughed and said, sure but who are the idiots? They all awkwardly talk a bit. Mention that CDG is deceptively smart, and that Wagner likes to keep it simple.

Then Bumble asks "who acts smart but isn't?"

Hesson: No comment

Bumble: Go on

Hesson: Well there is one bloke with a very very high IQ but low EQ but he isn't here today.

Then someone in the background mentioned "where is Jimmy anyway?" and they all laugh.

Think CdG should be bowling rather than Southee right now. Just need to make these guys play and have wagner steaming in at the other end.

Southee looks tired after what was a fantastic old ball spell

Whatever it takes!!!
Meh, it's just another crap overseas performance by England. We all know now that 350 was seriously under par, and once again we've gone through the motions with the ball under the eye of a skipper who makes Cook look positively Brearleyesque in comparison. I genuinely have nfi how they won in SL last year, as they just seem disinterested when life gets tricky. Sort of similar to the Caribbean series, although obviously NZ are a significantly better team than WI. And significantly better than England, come to that. Maybe they'll prove me wrong and I'll get up to hear that they've batted out the fifth day. The again, maybe my number will come up in the Lottery.

Think it's pretty simple, really. The SL pitches were rank turners and as much a lottery as most of the wickets England dish out at home. Pitches where staying in does not always mean more than scoring fast as you can get out any ball, really. So the pace of those games seems to suit this side under Root. The moment there is grinding involved, they seem to struggle. Especially with the ball.
