*Official* England in New Zealand 2019

I wonder if the next 101 wickets in NZ will all be from spinners. So far there is no sign to prove that won't happen.

Looks like he hasn't hit that - but Leach's effectively done the job of the night watchman since that's stumps.

Pretty decent day for us that.

Such a good catch it didn't matter he didn't hit.

101-3
Surely 101-4 given Leach got Southee.

BJ Watling is a god. Been out there 500 balls with the bat, 650 or whatever with the gloves first innings, then takes Sibleys chance like he just returned from a week on the beach.

And yep I was a Santner doubter. Happy to suck it. He does really have a knack and a calmness a lot of others don't

I think it's specifically wickets by NZers as 101 in 6 matches seems low for 2 teams.

what a goddamn god watling is. One of the ATG double tons even if stokes pulls another miracle out of his hairy ginger arse. Incredible day for santa too, you just knew he was going to tee off when leach started lobbing straight breaks at him. Finally seeing some classic test spinners wickets from him at home is the more promising occurrence for me though.

Gotcha, I was multiplying 6x20 not 40 as I should have.

As an aside, and this rule may have changed so I might be doubling down on errors, but did Root have to give Latham clearance to wear the gloves when Watling didn't reappear?

Potentially the issue is we need a couple of big hairy right arm pace men who are prepared to make foot holes for us...which England might've finally dished us up.

I don't think so; would only have needed clearance if the substitute wicketkeeper is from outside the XI.

And I do think it has changed such that you're just allowed to do it, but I'm less sure on that one.

He isn't a genuine test bowler-and is batting is more like a number 9 than 8.
Also gets called smart just because he looks smart lol.
Possibly one of the dumbest cricketing minds I've ever seen.
The guy left the last ball of the cwc final, not to draw a wide/no ball but because he kind of forgot.

Ya his bowling justifies his place in the Odi team but his selection as a spinner in tests ahead of ajaz patel and sommerville is not only comical but its corruption imo. He's been chosen because the selectors like his personality rather than on his cricketing performances .
Good yarn
