I mean he'll have earned his place but "picking a 30yo FC journeyman who averages <40 but has done really well in the past year" has had a pretty abysmal track record as a selectoral rubric in the last five years or so.

Hughes has only had one season where he's averaged over 40 and he's never made a 150 before. That's probably an even worse pick than Bancroft, though I guess he hasn't failed at Test level yet. Sigh....

Sorry, i wasnt too clear. What I meant was:

Social isnt the type to make an outlandish comment. Im concerned that he is going to be on the money as I think its a weird decision to pick Hughes now.

Wtf is happening with our left hander’s batting techniques?

Nobody has ever said “get square on and play from the crease”

I know that they’re nervous but current generation aren’t good

Starc and Haze are bowling really well or a warn 4 day pitch.

Actually Haze ball to get Green bowled was very nice.

Gannon batting at 3 was an interesting ruling. Last night Street got out in unfavourable batting conditions. It was dark and raining. So Gannon comes in as nightwatchman following Siddles beautiful ball, and he walks out onto the field but before he got to the pitch, the day was called off. So he had bat first thing today. Seems a good decision for qld in the end.

I loathe the bloke but he has batted really quite impressively

How has the umpire given that Smith wicket? Those are basically never out and that wasn't either.

Renshaw is frustrating at the moment. He's making starts but not going on with it. He really needs a big score to get the monkey off his back.
