Piedt was actually a decent young offie with a great first class record until he dislocated his shoulder in the 2014 Champions League.Never really was the same after that.Had a FC bowling average of 24 or something before the shoulder injury compared to 32 now.
Part of that was possibly down the fact that young South Africans get the opportunity to beat up amateurs in three day cricket early on in their careers and then have their averages slowly worsen as they play more professional cricket. I largely agree with you about the injury though.

He was the leading wicket taker with 54@27 last domestic season so I hoped he'd finally got over it. He doesn't really seem to have too many answers to set batsmen really going at him on flat decks anymore though. I called him a discount Jason Krejza on Day 1 of the series and it's holding up.

Bowling Nadeem in the third over when both pacers got a wicket each is not something I would ever understand.

Because you think the other side is ****
Basically, yea.

This is not just India dominating South Africa anymore, they've treated them with absolute disdain here. Piedt in particular - I forgot which of the commentators said it, but he basically said the Indian batsman are not even considering him a bowler anymore and do not respect him.

Yeah it’s like when Lyon first toured. Just no respect at all. He managed to get 7 or something in the last innings when all was said and done so maybe Piedt has hope.
