Mixed - some good balls have troubled him, but there haven't been too many. He's dealt with bad balls very well and hit a lot of boundaries.

In 4 innings his average has gone from under 40 to a tick under 50, and all after playing the usual ~30 tests we need players to reach before we can rate them

If he retired tomorrow would he remembered as a chronic test underachiever or an ATVG test player lol

Fwiw, Rohit could go on to play for another 5 years, score 5-6K runs and become a certified ATVG. He wouldn't get dropped for home tests at least for these years.

Even when he was failing in tests, he always valued test cricket highly hence I don't see him retiring from the premier format to prolong his career in the other 2 formats.
