Well, he's going to goad Rollins on to ever worsening acts of depravity until finally he has been "let in". I believe it's still Wyatt driving this creatively and he fancies himself a storyteller of layers and depth so who knows.

No chance WWE take the guy they see as the "face" and turn him into Wyatt's lackey. It wouldn't be the worst idea (although I'm not sure Rollins could pull it off) but it's just not in WWE's playbook to essentially throw away their massive push of him.

Yeah, probably. Although if they still viewed pro wrestling as a drawn-out battle between good and evil, they could easily build an year-long programme around this dynamic, culminating in Rollins finally breaking out from under Wyatt's spell and defeating him at some mega event an year down the line. Obviously not happening.

Do you guys think Taker levels of kayfabe maintainance is something desirable/good for modern monster characters?

While I understand that it’s an unrealistic expectation to have of a worker, it really sealed the authencity and suspension of disbelief that the man actively shirked all attempts to humanise him from a public POV for the sake of the maintainance of his aura.

Jeez Prichard taking over for Bischoff, probably makes a lot more sense but it's crazy to think he was also on the outers not too long ago.

Looking forward to AEW Dark today, I want that Omega Janela main event in my eyeballs.

Also side note: Alvarez truly shines in moments of darkness. His bewildered fury at WWE is so wholly deserved currently that it reminds me of the Fall of WCW stuff. WWE isn't WCW bad right now but it's boring which is almost worse.

Just a casual watcher these days, but watched the Draft because I heard Fox took over. There was so much potential to make it a big deal and they did basically nothing?? Baffling. I'm not too torn up on the rosters tbh. Looking at Raw there are some great wrestlers who no one cares about. And I'd trust Heyman to get them over inbetween his adultery fetish.

Side note, worst part of the draft is Kofi not giving a hoot that he lost his title. A title that is supposed to be the most prestigious in the company!

Yeah that has been handled really badly. Back out throwing pancakes around like the last 10 months or so never happened.

The best thing about the draft were the segments with the "Fox Executives" in their "War Room". Hollering and cheering after drafting people like Natalya. What a load of crock. Made even worse by the fact that the draft footage for both SD last week and RAW this week were obviously shot at the same time (everyone sitting in the same place and wearing the same clothes etc.) Just lazy/stupid/cringe TV.

I'd still take current WWE over Russo WCW in a heartbeat tbh.

Yeah most of it is pretty mediocre, but at least the quality of the in-ring stuff is fine-to-good. Difficult to care about, but the matches themselves are rarely worse than solid. Russo era WCW barely had any matches to speak of, and those it did have usually involved absolute schlubs.

Also, random side note but after the most boring, continuous 2 month rivalry involving lots of heel stuff from Evans, Lacey and Natalya are now randomly teaming up as if nothing happened?

Was always going to happen. She is blonde and has a military background. VKM is guaranteed to be in love with her.

Lacey Evans has a decent upside. Teaming her with Natalaya hopefully is a short term wrestling apprenticeship thing though.

To be fair it's not the teaming up with Natalya that's an issue, it's that it makes no sense given the narrative between the two over the past few months.

Yes, and it made absolutely no sense.

If it was two faces who had had hard-fought matches without it getting personal, I wouldn't mind, but this was a classic heel/face rivalry that saw them genuinely hate each other.

AEW continues to be ****ing awesome. One day I'll watch these NXT episodes as they seem to be good too.

In other news Bushiroad purchases Stardom.

Stardom championship match at WK maybe? Stardom and NJPW being on one ********* service will almost certainly see me subscribe year round.
