I have been disappointed with some of the SA tactics and bowling efforts. But have to say that India batsmen have batted brilliantly and done all you could to put their team in a dominant position.

Maharaj has been showed up by Jadeja and Ashwin on this tour so far, but big props to the guy. Second fastest SA spinner to 100 wickets,and definitely the best we have had since readmission. However low that bar is! Hope he keeps going.

He's a good spinner but he's not been fantastic so far this tour. Hopefully he gets it right.

Discussion vehemently going on in the cricinfo comments on why Jadeja is batting above Saha. To me, it is a no-brainer. Jaddu averages 33 against Saha's average of 30 both on 40 odd tests. Also, Jadeja is a proven bat in first class cricket and in better form than Saha. Sir Jaddu to the fore.

Ashwin's declined a bit now a days but in general in India I think any order between Jadeja - Saha - Ashwin is fine, barely makes a difference.

Pretty much, yea - there's not much in it. Not sure why it's really a discussion. Generally speaking, Jadeja also scores more quickly so that might have factored into it (same as last test).
It's not like they (Jadeja/Ashwin) are being sent ahead of Pujara...

Poor Jadeja made to dance in the pitch around the danger areas. A better sword fighter than dancer for sure.
