Last night Saffers were down 84-4 and just woke up now. What a pleasant surprise!

This is excellent :)

SA have given themselves a chance. If they can cut that lead down to 60 or so, a third innings collapse would put India under real pressure.

Elgar-De Kock partnership has opened up the match beautifully. Would love to watch a monsterous 4th-5th day Indian pitch.

South Africa certainly not out of the game. This Maharaj-Muthusamy partnership needs to continue, but these two have played a lot of cricket together all through the KZN/Dolphins setup

Elgar what a guy. QdK's innings was nearly flawless too, which was surprising.

Ashwin with that new action universebrain

Certainly a possibility. Caughtsome of the highlights and de Kock's innings looks like a gem.

The first part wont happen. If the remaining batsmen were facing pace then maybe. Against the spin they will slog one up in the air or lbw pretty quickly.

If Quinny or Goblin were still around then that could happen

Elgar’s issue has been a complete lack of consistency, isn’t it?

He can very well end up with the average of 20 for rest of the series and no one would be surprised.

They’d be the grittiest 20s though

I recall de Kock being dropped at least 3 times, one very early on – though nothing easy. Played well, didn't look skittish at all and had a nice tempo throughout.

Elgar's dismissal was ordinary as the field was spread everywhere but may be fatigue kicked in, conditions looked very oppressive.

Not sure about Muthusamy. Wasn't expecting Lara but he seems very limited.

Saw the first QdK drop, but nothing else. Sure there were 2 others? One was a Muthusamy drop

Nice little trolling from this last wicket. Muthusamy showed more than I expected. Well batted SA,

Lets get some early wickets, now.

Ashwin needs to take just 1 wicket in 4th innings to equal Muralidharan to be fastest to 350 test wickets.
