Blewett was on the edge of being a genuine all-rounder for SA early on. Also wasn't far off being picked in the '03 World Cup squad after focusing hard on his bowling to push for a spot. I may be remembering this wrong but I think it was a close call between him and Symonds for the squad, good thing Symonds was given the chance.

Ponting randomly took some huge wickets. Lara in an ODI for not many around 2000, Burgey mentioned Vaughan and I think there might have been 1 or 2 more.

edit: he got Jimmy Adams as well when he was good (1997). Not bad for someone with only 8 international wickets.
Another fun fact, of Ponting's 8 wickets, 5 were caught behind. Bit unusual for a part-time medium pacer.

Look at the magnificent scenes at Drummoyne there, close to God's Peninsula, with us inner west battlers' 35-40 foot motor cruisers moored just off shore.

90 to get off 12 with nine in the shed. NSW are big favourites here. They've managed to make WA bowl Richardson for 5 already, and C00ter is coming back now as well, probably a bit earlier than they'd have liked.

Top knock by Moises but that's a big wicket. Not much experience save for Nev now.

I was saying to Dan that I wished I was in Sydney today so I could go to the game and then head off to the Sailing Club for a Kent Old after it was over.

Then it pissed down and I took it back. But still, Drummoyne is an awesome part of Australia. Such a shame it's close enough to Bowelmange for the chaff to come over.

Gilkes needs to pull off a knock like his Big Bash debut

Sams is their other big hope, I'd be sending him next ahead of the other hacks

lol as if we let Drummoyners onto the insular peninsula. It's just suburbia by the river. Too far out of town for my liking. And in Bennelong, so it's rubbish by definition.

Gilkes dotting up here to play for a draw. Get on with it, ****.

This is exactly the response I was hoping for.

Is that what it feels like to be you in Indian tour threads and Site Discussion?

No, because your'e doing this in a domestic match thread. I'm big on the international stage, babeh.

That's two great shots back-to-back. The one on the carpet through wide mid on is class.
