Sad that the young NSW pacer I did really rate (Thornton) has been cut, he looked like a weapon.

But I would take Mickey over Conway, who in turn I would take over Stobo who I never understood why anyone rated

Massive day for Parra with the two lads playing this game and Hayley Silver-Holmes debuting for the Breakers at age 16 vs SA. Second youngest debutant for the Breakers apparently

I’m on the piss in the qantas lounge at Melbourne and of course they’ve got a repeat of Alan Jones and Peta Credlin on instead of the game. Lounge is meant to be a relaxing place and they have that ****head droning away.

Is Nair’s action any better or still putrid?

Yeah, hes like Dre Russ now except more extreme

once primarily bowler who was nothing more than a low order slogger. now that slogging ability is what pays their wages and their bowling is an afterthought. Dre Russ still bowls of course but he should stop as it keeps causing him injuries

if the ball actually ever spun square it'd be a wide everytime.
It wouldn't even get to the batsman if it literally turned square. It would go straight to point/square leg. Probably be a dead-ball?

Queensland are done here. Very long tail

You could spin it square and hit the stumps, if you landed it right on the bowling crease.

Still not keen on Burns in the middle order in limited overs stuff

I was about to say doesn't Wildermuth open sometimes but I was thinking of Weatherald. Yeah will be tough from here. Though the asking rate is low

Wildermuth opened in the BBL a couple of times. Pretty sure he regularly opens for Valleys too.

But yeah Weatherald is a "real" opener.

I meant after Wildermuth there's a long tail. Wildermuth can definitely bat. Seen him donk a couple white ball 50s and of course he's made Shield tons

Steketee is passable, Bartlett has some ability with the stick iirc, know pretty much nothing about Kuhnemann and Billy is an out and out 11. Not great but not that terrible really
