I really think Warner missed a trick by continuing to poke and prod this series, instead of going out there and having a crack. I suggested after the 2nd or 3rd Test that he should almost treat it like a T20 and try and hit himself into form but instead he just kept on poking around on the crease and no surprise he's done **** all and stayed in terrible form.

Norwood's on Fire
Hope Smith gets less than 15 as he then has fewer runs than Cook in 10-11 from the same number of innings

2/29 is probably a better start than other innings we've dished up.

But equally we can't keep on relying on these guys to consistently make 150 partnerships.....

Did Warner middle a ball pitched up to him that innings? I reckon in the long-term him being kept in the side for this Test did him damage.

They've figured Marnus out IMO. This leg side in front of square field will negate him nicely, and he's going to miss a straight one eventually.

Steve Smith just makes a mockery of conventional batting technique wisdom

Coach: "ok young fella so if the ball is pitched up you move the front foot forward and - "
Kid: "but Smith doesn't do that and he's the best"
Coach:"ok but you should"
Kid: "why"
Coach: "fml"

absolutely hopeless and why keep giving flawed players chances? We were looking to lose the moment Smith or labuschagne couldnt fire. This is because everyone else is just */*/***
david warner is just ** now.

When your openers are as bad as ours you can’t just keep picking and hoping they’ll come good. You have to look at alternatives rather than deprive yourself of them because you don’t like “make shift” openers. It was clear Warner can’t get past Broad and Harris is batting like an 11. It was only for one test and we could’ve opened with wade and Usman, retained Head and played Marsh just for this match and I think that’s a stronger batting side than the one we fielded. In fact if we had Leach I’d have picked him as opener ahead of either Harris and Warner.

2012. The one where he basically gave slip fielding practice for three games whenever Anderson was bowling
I thought he/you was talking about 2014, where he failed to score a 50.

I don't remember **** about that 2012 series.
