Today has all seemed a bit sedate and inevitable. England have worked hard but not even half way through the day.
Losing the two guys most likely to bat time in the English team back-to-back in the first over was killer. England haven't done all that much wrong today and I don't think Australia's been that good with the ball but you never truly felt like England were likely to save the game.

Aus have been fine with the ball. Nothing spectacular or flash bar a few balls out of the rough, just good, persistent bowling on a good length and good line.

That's kind of what I meant, they've been decent with the ball but not great (well Cummins notwithstanding). I think Lyon's been off the boil too much to consider it an all round excellent performance, though maybe my standards are too high.

They're 6/140 having batted okay for 50 overs on a pitch which is not exactly a minefield. I think your standards are too high.

Very disappointing from Cummins there, failing to swing one into leg stump then deck it away to clip the top of off at 95 mph.

Oh wow the ball change trick strikes again.

Also did 9 basically miss a whole ball being bowled? WTF.
