That was an interesting little chat about the use of side arms. There might be something to it as well, but they’re a lot cheaper than the shoulder reconstruction I had after throwing about 50,000 balls to the young bloke over the years.

Yeah. Just like every training tool/ game it can't replace facing actual bowlers. Bowling machines are the same. Bowlers are just a different beast from machines or sidearms.

It’s pretty hard not to think that of Warne given all he’s said and done over the years. He was a wonderful cricketer but he’s a grub of a bloke.

And as thick as whipped **** with it too. If he only ever spoke about spin bowling I’d listen to him all week, but otherwise he just spits out trundler-level dribble.

Oh I know! Ive followed Warne's career closely throughout my life. I just found Spark's quote funny.

On a side note, I think the same qualities that allegedly make him a sub par human might have contributed to him being one of the greatest cricketers. He just doesn't seem to give a f about anything.

Pretty clear that the major difference between the two attacks is the drop off after the new ball bowlers. It's just really quite visible how much easier batting has become on each occasion once Broad and Archer finish their first new ball spells.

How good was the shot he played off Leach in that last over through midwicket against the spin? Just class.
