4th Test at Old Trafford, Manchester

Good find!

I recall him putting him 15 rows back at Headinly when he me 70 odd in an hour after England was rolled for 100
I was there and remember it well! Was a great morning, Aus losing 7-70 odd. Match ended in tedium though.

I mean I was at Egbaston. I was also there at Leeds for the first day when we got skittled, but was too hungover to attend on the second day

This test reminding me a little bit of the 2013 version at this ground, Aussies on top but ultimately not good enough to beat the rain despite the pitch taking some turn and a big first innings score

"Rory Burns has become the second England opener not named Alastair Cook to face 700 balls in an Ashes series this decade. The only other guy is batting at the other end."

Long way to go but yeah, looks a draw. Though 2/120 can be 4/140 and the game is back on

Weird how Lyon hasn’t bowled a short ball to Root but has let Burns off a lot. Been disappointing but not appalling for mine.

Ehhh, the rain fell earlier in this Test though. Does scream draw central though, which is going to make the 5th Test ****ing nuts.

Burns' face does need to be discussed. He looks as though someone else's features have been amateurishly photoshopped onto his face. Everything's the wrong size.
This is a very good post. Head like a low flying Muscovy Duck - all the action is out in front

On a pitch as dry as this, never count out the possibility 4 days of really boring batting-dominated cricket followed by utter madness on day 5

Commentators are being very discreet about it, but they’re having a serious crack at Archer here by contrasting this effort from Cummins before the break with what England dished out when it was most needed in Australia’s innings

It's a fair assessment of how it came to be.

Now, I cannot get that picture out of my head. We have a few dozens of Muscovy ducks on our farm. The drakes are ****ing badass.

Think we need to rethink our plans for the next session. Much more dry bowling, less short stuff please.

This thought now scares me. I've already lived through losing a thriller that should never have been lost, losing a Test Adelaide style could be the end of me as a cricket fan.

Pretty tough session. Both sides (barring a few Starc overs) did quite well.
