We’re looking real flat out there despite being armed with a new pill! Archer struggling and content to just roll his arm over, the Ashes are on the line here, we’ve got plenty of options to bowl 85mph deliveries!

I appreciate he’s a newbie in Test cricket and we shouldn’t expect too much and bowling over 90mph is demanding and he probably has been over bowled this series when he has played. That said we need a big effort from him here to get that breakthrough! Broad doing his utmost!

Remember when idiots said Smith's peak was done because he averaged 30 against SA last year? I recall sometime suggesting he'd average sub 40 for the rest of his career.

500 in 4 innings

Tbh apart from that series, he was also pretty inconsequential in home series against SA despite averaging 40.

His first SA series is the only one where he made some runs.
