Daemon, i find it really hard to say the bowling team is unlucky when a batsman is given not out on a ball clipping leg sides bail.

It just doesnt feel out and even with technology it feels more right to not be out and this is what the former bowlint great in the comm box meant too.

I think it's a classic sort of decision that no-one would even think about giving out pre-Hawkeye but post-Hawkeye you'd at least think about it. I don't really agree with Daemon here but I don't think he's alone in that kind of opinion.

Horrible dismissal from Warner, below average from Harris, typical opening cluster****, otherwise decent batting and loose bowling. Odd ball doing a lot off the pitch but not enough pressure and consistency for the movement on offer.

Yeah I did/do.

I just grew up with hawkeye and believe it shows the most probable outcome, and that the decision should be made based on the most probable outcome.

Totally understand why it instinctively feels unlucky to most.

The whole benefit of the doubt to the batsman is just an old school cricket opinion, which is why a guy like Holding who played in the 70s and 80s goes along with it. I play loads of cricket and I personally don't see any reason why it has to be the case, especially at the highest level where there's technology. Admittedly I probably side more with the bowlers on the balance of the game debate than most.
