3rd Test at Headingley, Leeds

IIRC JBMAC said before that Bradman didn't play it much either. Tended to walk across the stumps and work the ball leg side. If so it would basically confirm that as the optimal technique for someone with a good enough eye to ~never miss a straight one.
I remember getting into deep and pointless thoughts after watching a video of a deep learning AI learning how to walk and speculating that if you taught such a thing the rules of cricket and let it have at trying to learn to bat it'd probably decide pretty quickly to basically not play that shot at all in Tests. I may have even mentioned it to Spark, the only other person in the world I knew who might've watched that video and also been a Test cricket fan.

You know that a team is done when their fielding falls apart

If England lose here, 4-0 is on the cards

Westindies chased 322 here when root declared but I think present English team not have potential to scores
Even 265 in 4th innings

don't mind Patto getting out then. A nice 20-odd from each of the other bowlers would be nice too. Don't want them spending too much time at the crease. Save energy for bowling

Haha I don't know about that. Deep learning AIs, when you dig into them, don't seem to run on any sort of discernible actual chain of logic.
