Buuuut we didn't.

Surprised that they brought in De Grandhomme for Santner but didn't displace Southee's bowling with De Grandhomme, so as to bring in Wagner or maybe Astle.

Just saying, I wouldn't feel bad if we won the toss again.
Would be the 5th time in a row SL has lost a toss at home if that happens, bowling first on a wicket with some grass wouldn't be so bad IMO, pitch shouldn't break up too much

Ok yeah new ball spell could be dangerous but hopefully the openers get us off to another solid start, will be a good toss to win if they can do that, Dilruwan has come in for Akila, the mental stress of the chucking fiasco maybe?

State Vice-Captain
Dutchie in for Santa. Two under-performing all-rounders in a stoush for one place... wonderful. I suspect if Neesham had been picked to tour we wouldn't be in this situation. Too late to worry about that now, though. Carn, NZ!

Moss

International Captain
Watling is not very good keeping to spin or is the having a bad series?
Adequate but not the greatest. The seam focused nature of NZ's attacks has meant it's less of an issue than it could be I suppose.

Yay Somerville, the miss didn't cost anything thankfully.

We've been a touch unlucky this session with edges not going to hand, or plays and misses, but clearly SL's session overall.
