Not unusual unfortunately. He’s usually better in later spells, but sadly in the subcontinent that might not help sha-wiiiiing.

Adequate but not the greatest. The seam focused nature of NZ's attacks has meant it's less of an issue than it could be I suppose.

Weren't as many of those as you'd expect in a 1st session imo. SL just played well.
