2nd Test, Lord's, London

When Stokes came to the crease last night I'm sure everyone thought wow there's some easy runs for him here

Either that or yet another moronic post from Stephen
and on top of it all, he moved up the order to number 5. how the **** is this even remotely close to downhill skiing

England should declare now btw. Zero point scoring runs here, it's not going to matter.
I think we're at the point where Australia basically can't chase it down, so yeah. May as well wait until the end of the over though.

I can only echo the general bemusement of Holding's comments about Lyon. Just don't make sense on any level.
Surely his point was pretty obviously "don't drop Ali just because he had one bad Test"? Agree or disagree but that seemed pretty plain to me.

Yeah Holding's comments make little sense given the match situation. He had bad luck yesterday and a lot of today came in a bit of a no-win situation. Very different to Moeen getting smacked around when England were significantly ahead in the game.

48 overs - can England take 10 wickets? I feel like yes.

Good declaration, 48 overs to bowl them out. Glad we didn’t bat any longer, excellent effort and well timed acceleration from Stokes! Early wickets please!
