Smith aside, England's have bowled and batted better than Australia this series so far. I definitely rate the English attack in this test higher than the Australian attack in either test.
Lyon alone gives Australia's attack the edge. England don't have a spinner of his class (haven't seen enough of Leach to judge him).

That's fair, though England have the better pace attack (which is more what I meant).

If Australia bowled three of the big 4 instead of Siddle it'd be a much more even contest.

Archer's problem at the moment is that with back-of-a-length inswingers a RHB gets away with almost all of his mistakes.

The problem with what the commentators are saying is that if you don't bowl with a plan properly you end up bowling foddery rubbish that gets punished.

You can see why Leach has not bowled previously. He is not bowling badly but the conditions are not helping him.
I think he could be a handful. He's not bowling any bad balls and all it takes is for one to slide on a bit or grip off the seam, if you're attacking the stumps.
