The ECB, in their massive stupidity, decided to make the seam on the ball flatter so that batsmen could score more runs in the county stuff, when it was the combination of damp pitches from the terrible money-grubbing scheduling and not even being allowed to use the bloody heavy roller that was the culprit. The ball this year has swung less than the Kookaburra did last summer in Australia and it's a terrible shame because swing bowling is something that absolutely should be encouraged, and it's excessive seam movement, which is largely dictated by the pitch, that's the big issue for batsmen.Tbh what I'd been hearing before this series is that this year's set of balls aren't really swinging at all, especially compared to last year's set.
Actually, it's good luck that Australia that didn't lose a review. That's bad luck. Looked high live and only just hit the stumps on DRS.
This. It's not like it was barely nicking the corner of leg stump.Actually, it's good luck that Australia that didn't lose a review.
scored barely any though. hes a sure fire drop for test no.3. marcus harris in.I'm frankly surprised he lasted that long.
It was hitting the stumps, so out. Good decision and the correct one too. That's a DRS era decision if ever you saw one. Hit front pad above the knee roll with a batsman forward and jumping a bit.
My thoughts too. I guess clipping still means the bails would fly off in all likelihood thoughThat's a DRS era decision if ever you saw one. Hit front pad above the knee roll with a batsman forward and jumping a bit.
