I know he scored plenty of doubles but I still would have thought he'd have got a ton in each innings, especially coz they had timeless tests then right?
A lot of his big scores were in England. There was bodyline and then the lower scoring series in 36/37 where he scored two second innings double tons after lowish first innings scores.

Considering the number of Australians in London it’s a national disgrace how poor their traveling support are. Their little section in the crowd consists of silenced geriatrics who can barely stand up. It’s like the cast of Cocoon watching a cricket match.
They can't all leach off their parents' money like the English.

They keep bringing up this "World Cup fatigue" thing as if it's something unique to England when Australia had about just as many players there and only played one less game.

Anyone hear James Pattinson's comment on Smith at the presser last night? When asked about Smith's reaction to being hit in the head "He always puts a bit of mayo on things"

so true

Surely england has to bowl dry now and try to get away with a draw? They’ve ****ed this completely in the second dig by letting Australia mow down the lead in about 25 overs yesterday. Was rubbish, and they’ve been worse today. It’s not that they’ve only jagged one pole, they’ve gifted so many runs, it’s been a really bad effort

Really missed Anderson’s ability to bowl economically, dry up an end.

Why would you spend coin going to watch cricket in the English summer when the weather is better here in winter anyway?

England probably had a lot of after-partying tho

Plus that final itself was probably more emotionally draining than all the games leading up to it combined

Surprised everyone missed it. Comms said he's carrying a knee injury and they're trying to manage it by giving him a lighter workload
Why couldn't they just give him a couple of overs then, rather than waiting until the ball's practically dead?
