I mean it's a little bit disappointing that we've only taken the one wicket thus far, but a lot of that has been down to bad luck. It's also a pretty dead deck right now. Certainly I don't think most of the bowlers (bar maybe Cummins?) have done much wrong.

Yeah, this is fair. I don't think we've been perfect for example. Point remains halba's post was suggesting they were going at a 3/10 level which is foolish.

He clearly didn't watch Stokes yesterday if he thinks this has been bad bowling.

The funny thing with Cummins is that I've always had a suspicion that he'd not go all that great with the Dukes. But the idea of dropping him based on one spell is mind-bogglingly stupid.

There was a lot more in the deck yesterday, and the movement has eased up today, as I said it would. It's turning way more than a typical English wicket on day two.

The thing which has held Root back the most in recent years is his inability to get the ugly scratchy runs. Would be hugely encouraging if he gets a big one despite playing as badly as he us.

That's kind of his point. Cummins is at least capable of bowling better than he has today. This is more or less as much as you'll get from Siddle.
