Thank **** for those dumb ****s at CA banning him for sandpaper-gate and letting us get that series win down there under our belt.

In fairness the gap between the sides was pretty huge at the end. After Perth the bowling just kind of collapsed and even Smith couldn’t do anything about that.

This is embarrassing from England. 9/260 and nine blokes on the fence? Play the ****ing game you arseholes. Otherwise put Bairstow back on the fence too. His dad did it in an ODI Final here in 79/80.

Roots captaincy has been really poor today.
Just to expand on this, but it became fairly obvious that Stokes and Moeen weren't up to the task today so surely the obvious thing to do knowing that Jimmy is crocked is to have the 2 lads who are bowling with threat (Broad and Woakes) rotating from the same end to at least keep the foot on the throat a little bit instead of letting them back into it. Plus if you do this you're more likely to buy wickets at the other end try to target it too release pressure, but instead we've had long periods of the match where we've been bowling with no threat or pressure on the batsmen.

The only bit I caught today was when Australia were 38 for 3. The bloke I was chatting to at the time reckoned Smith would still take them to 250, enough to secure a three figure lead given the state of our batting. Followed by a downhill skiing ton from Warner.

Smith literally gets a hundred every time he plays India. Absolutely no way India were winning that series if he plays. 1-1 draw at best, and even that's a stretch.

there's been some ordinary ads on tv tonight but they're well balanced by the trivago ads, man i'm in love with the girl on them

It was, however, bowlers tend to be fresher when they’re defending 300-400 rather than 150 odd

Just like in hindsight he couldn't do anything about this test had he not played?
