Istomin and older Zverev smashing Murray and Djokovic off court and it looked like Dimitrov and younger Zverev were really kicking the door down. Some classic matches there.

Says a lot about how Wimbledon has slowed, though quite a few of the guys you mentioned were solid singles players too.There used to be a time when you'd often see doubles specialists who'd be dangerous floaters in a Wimbledon draw (Woodforde/Woodbridge/Haarhuis/Bjorkman etc.). Those players simply don't exist anymore.
I think he was ranked well inside the top ten in singles before he blew his knee. May have made a Wimbledon semi final.Very sad today to learn of the death of Peter McNamara aged 64. A more renowned doubles player, but made the last eight of three of the four Grand Slams.
