Pitch getting really slow is the only explanation I can muster up. Doesn't account for missing and getting dismissed on full tossses though.Did England even bowl particularly well there? Not sure whether it’s a really tough pitch or NZ batting was shocking.
Woakes bowled well at the start, Plunkett bowled well jn the middle and Archer bowled well at the end. A lot of movement early. Pitch doesn't look that easy.Did England even bowl particularly well there? Not sure whether it’s a really tough pitch or NZ batting was shocking.
The commentatorsHow did people find the youtube feed? Any big audio problems?
No real audio problems. I did notice your feed was quite a bit behind the live feed which made following both a bit difficult, but I could hear both of you fine. How did people find the youtube feed? Any big audio problems?
Pretty much my feeling, even if there's a new ball burst similar to Wednesday England bat really deep. Hope NZ bowl and field like tigers one last time.I reckon we’re 20 short. Boo. Really missed out on some of those full tosses. Going to have to bowl and field better than they did against India. Much deeper batting line up (apart from Jadeja).
Was just about to post the same. I felt pretty confident at the innings break of the semi. Today I just feel deflated. After we set India 240, for whatever reason, I had an inkling that we had a chance. Don't feel that way today. We'll see. Brilliant bowling by Plunkett and well done by Archer, but I've gotta say a lot of those wickets at the death were to pretty garbage deliveries. As a few have noted, death hitting was always the critical weakness of this side. Missing an Anderson or an Elliot with the power to push us along at 8+ rpo at the death.
Still proud of them for making it this far. 2 successive world cup finals and #2 in the test rankings is something none of us could dreamed about a decade ago. Now c'mon Trenty and co, give us one more first hour of black magic to make this a World Cup to remember forever.
Neesham looked the best out there in terms of being able to push the rate along, but was nipped out too soon. CdG having a real off day was a downer, but let's see what England have got now. After we set India 240, for whatever reason, I had an inkling that we had a chance. Don't feel that way today.
