Why do England keep playing him?

Pitches aren't spinners in this WC. He's woefully out of form. Complains of a shoulder injury. Can't bat. Can't field. Bowls at least one 4 ball every over.

Why? Can somebody please explain?

Here's the thing . England don't produce a lot of good spinners these days . Now pitches are well cared for the role of the spin bowler has lessened over here . We made changes to our County structure a while back to try to bring spinners into the game more , but not seen much fruit out of it yet .

Moeen Ali and Adil Rashid are probably the best of an average lot . Neither is an especially good spinner but we've backed them , often played them together . They can also both hold a bat though neither has had much form in the tournament .These two half-decent spinners have done pretty well for us considering .

Moeen can exert some sort of control but Adil is pretty expensive .However Adil bowls wicket taking balls , quite a few of them . He can look like useless crap but every now and again ..... He's a luxury and been written off every five minutes but both these two lads have been crucial in our ODI improvement . If I was Morgan I would be a bit gutted that I didn't have them both available in good form right now.

Adil's International career annoys me a little bit because we should have backed him a lot earlier for fullon England duty in my opinion .
