Time for Kohli to be dropped as Captain in ODI and T20 . He is a big panauti ( bad luck ) for our team. He hasn't won anything in IPL nor would win anything in in ICC tournament . Make Rohit the new ODI and T20 captain. Kohli won't allow any young batsman to develop because it will hamper his brand value . Pant should have played atleast 30-40 ODI till now. But he kept on backing Rayudu .Dropped Shami and Kuldeep in the SF who were MoS on NZ tour this year .

It annoys me that 4 years on and we've basically lost another semi final because our middle order could not handle a tricky runchase after a top order failure

Granted there's a big difference between 320 and 240, but still. We haven't learnt our lesson. 4 years and our batting is still Top 3 or Bust.
What annoys me more is that the same top order almost always fails in games that actually matter lol

also, it will never happen but rohit needs to be captain instead of kohli with a lot of management changes

i will laugh at his odi captaincy after dhoni leaves along with his tactics and he starts losing more
Fully agree. Regardless of what people say, in my book:

Kohli's captaincy = Sachin's captaincy + random cusswords and random aggression

It was a top fightback from Jaddu and I think Dhoni did a decent job till around 44th over or so. What makes it harder to take is the fact that we actually got that close. I always knew too many things had to go perfectly right for too long for us to win but still was hard to stomach. We had the two best batsmen, one of the best bowling line ups but somehow still we ended up short. India should not have a number 4 problem or any other position issue considering the talent we have sitting on the side. Get the youngsters in. Wonder how long the wait for the next WC will be :(

Not surprised we are out failing to chase but I expected it would be a 300+ target set by England or Australia. It's been a really poor effort, one in a long line over the last five years. I don't think there is any question that this team struggles in pressure games.

Yeah I'm coming across the wrong way here. I just thought there was a chance there was someone that passionate out there

The notion that Dhoni is suited to playing the new swinging ball is not really supported by facts at all

Agree he should've taken a bit more responsibility than batting behind Pandya, but Pant and Karthik were selected to be middle order batsmen. If they couldn't play good bowling better than Dhoni they shouldn't have been in the side.

No one's really sayind Dhoni is dravid 2.0 at playing lateral movement. But hes legitimately better at surviving in those conditions than he is in a situation where you need to score at 9 rpo. Dhoni is more suited to the former, hardik/Pant the latter.

Yep. And if he'd gone out early trying to save the team from the front I think many people would have more respect for him than going out at 7.

I can see some logic in Pant going in at 4 (left hander to throw off the rhythm of the swing bowlers) and Karthik at 5 (better at playing swing bowling), but Pandya going in at 6 ahead of MSD made absolutely no sense IMO.

This one. Till Pant it was ok. But sending Pandya and Pant at the same time on the field was not a very good idea at that moment.
