Yeah the England comparison is apt, though aside from the selection of Munro as opener (who ironically is suited to limited overs cricket) this is pretty much NZ's first choice squad in 50 over cricket, and they've never been this sort of batting side. So many players down on form and confidence it's not funny.I've seen this a lot with England in previous World Cups, where you battle to a score you think might be competitive. The thread is debating whether 220 will be enough or whether you'll need 240 etc. Then the opposition come out and it's a completely different game. 2011 against Sri Lanka probably the best example.
A lot of good slower balls though.Neesham not timing anything makes me feel a tad more confident honestly. Neesham may have plenty of issues with the bat but it's certainly not his timing.
We did it!Just about to go past 4 an over!
As good as his hitting was in that innings, it'll also require Bhumrah and Bhuvi to do a Shoaib/Razzaq and stop hitting the pitch.Taylor needs to do what he did v Pak in 2011 now. He struggled immensely for over 100 balls before going super saiyan.
You're only just getting that feeling now?I just have a horrible feeling this match is heading towards an India 9 wicket win in 40 overs.
